Abigail Lee Bruggeman

Abigail Lee Bruggeman has arrived! She was born on May 19th, 2010 and we are ecstatic she is finally here! She has been the gift Alicia and Greg have so patiently been waiting for...God came through yet again and blessed them with such a beautiful baby girl. The birth parents have both signed for the adoption and so has the judge making Abigail an official Bruggeman. She has been a joy to them as well as the rest of the family and we are so grateful for her safe arrival. She is beautiful, delicate, and becoming interactive as I write this 2.5 months after her birth. Alicia has undoubtedly become a natural mother and Greg, surprisingly, has a soft side! :) It is wonderful to see them as parents and experience the daily joys, unconditional love, dirty diapers, and lack of sleep as they now embark on the journey called "parenting".

A baby shower was thrown in her honor on June 19th at my house. It was fun to plan with the help of Alicia's sister Carey and there was a great turnout. According to Alicia, she didn't want it to end. :) Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law flew in from California as well as many others who travelled within Denver and surrounding areas. She received TONS of both realistic and beautiful gifts. It was an HONOR to finally have a baby shower for Alicia as she always goes above and beyond for others and was truly deserving of that day.

Emme has taken her role of cousin extremely seriously to Miss Abby and is a great helper. She sounds like she is taking in the footsteps of me when I was a little girl and is wanting to be involved in everything that involves Abby. I look forward to her help and big sister role as our #2 arrives sometime around September 12th.
