Summer Visitors

We had yet another busy summer with travel ourselves as well as many visitors who came out to enjoy beautiful Colorado...and see us of course too! ;) It started with my mom and several of her sisters and a couple sister-in-laws who came out the first weekend in June. Being that several of them are artists and/or interested in art, we chose the first weekend of the month because Denver has many free events the first weekend of every month. We went to the Sante Fe Art District on Friday evening followed by free admission at the Denver Art Museum on Saturday. Drew then took them on Sunday to the free tour at Coors Brewery and Red Rocks. It was a blast having them come out for a visit but a little challenging getting several women organized and simply walking fast enough at the different activities while they all chatted away with each other!!!

A couple weeks later my best friend and her family came out for a visit. Michelle and I hit up our usual Maggiano's while the boys headed up to the mountains and all of us went to a Rockies game one night as well. Lexie and Emme play so well together and will probably be BFF's just like Michelle and I!!!

After several trips the month of July (Orlando, Nebraska, Texas) our visitors started up again in August. Hillary, Justin, Sam, and Ariel Crawford came out for a weekend. It was so great to have them back in the state where we met and was the perfect relaxing, yet fun-filled weekend. We spent a lot of time at the pool, having mutual friends over to the pool and for a BBQ, followed by yet another Rockies game.

The very next weekend my good friend Amanda from Utah came out for part business, part pleasure. She is a photographer and was coming out to do a coworker/friend's wedding that weekend as well as a few other shoots. It was a quick weekend but great having her and her friend out. We did some shopping, movie watching, and lots of catching up!

Then came September. What a fun whirlwind of a month! My sister-in-law Carey, niece Hayden, and nephew Lincoln arrived on September 5th and stayed with us for a week followed by 3 more weeks at Alicia and Greg's. They stayed for exactly one month while in the process of moving from Washington D.C. to Chicago. Her husband Mike stayed back and finished his job in D.C. and then drove to Chicago to start his new job and search for their new home. He found a 4 bedroom house for them to rent which is much larger than what they were used to in their 2 bedroom beautiful condo back in D.C. We were sad to see them go but look forward to visiting them there! We had a blast getting to know Hayden and Lincoln better all while having plenty of chaos with all the grandkids! :) We did many things such as: swimming, bike rides with P-Pop, going for walks and to the park, touring Tiny Town, going to a pumpkin patch, having Hayden and Emme's birthday party, getting Hayden and Emme a pedicure, having a TRIPLE baptism, and beyond. P-Pop and MamaLin also joined us for all the festivities! We felt blessed having so much family, support, and love around!
